Got your new MLS head gasket? You’ll need some tough head bolts to go with it! Don’t risk the sealing performance of your cylinder head gasket to inferior weak bolts; trust MDS Head Bolt Kits for correct fit and proven strength and performance.
Modern engines run torque to yield (stretch) head bolts. For this reason, head bolts MUST be replaced once you’ve removed the cylinder head. The allowable elasticity of these head bolts is a requirement of the overall function of modern engine design.
When tensioning bolts, an accurate tension wrench and angle gauge will be required to achieve correct clamping forces of the cylinder head gasket.
MDS Head Bolt Kit BKMZ1013 requires the following Torque Specifications (Nm):
BOLTS 1-18: Stage 1 = 29, Stage 2 = 29, Stage 3 = +90°, Stage 4 = +90°, Stage 5 = +90°
BOLT "A": Stage 1 = 19
